Gruber Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms produces 500 acres worth of fruit, leafy greens, and corn. The Gruber Farms was purchased in 1945 after Wilson Birnell Gruber returned home from the Navy in WWII. His son, Stanley Gruber grew up working the farm and took over the family business after his father passed away. Gruber and his farmhands distribute weekly boxes of vegetables to CSA shareholders and sell produce at farmers markets in Charleston, Columbia, Port Royal, and Summerville.
