Hickory hosted the Lowes Foods Christmas Parade and Tree Lighting on Nov. 22, 2024. The event featured parade floats from local businesses, marching bands and sidewalks lined with parade watchers. The annual tree lighting ceremony on Union Square in downtown Hickory followed the parade.
